Decommissioned commercial panels are the cheapest watts available anywhere, often less than half the price of new. They are a genuinely good deal for ground mounts and off-grid builds where a few extra panels cost less than the premium for new ones.

What to watch out for
Used panels are sold as-is. Expect cosmetic damage, no manufacturer warranty, and older, physically larger, lower-efficiency modules — fine if you have the space, wrong if you are filling a small roof. Check the condition note on each listing, and budget for a few dead panels in a large lot.
